Description
Whether switched on or off: The LED auxiliary headlights impress with their design. They combine the classic MINI auxiliary headlights familiar from rally sport with modern LED lighting technology. When the auxiliary headlights are switched off, for the first time it is not the light source that is visible, but a filigree bar with the striking MINI lettering. The housing of the LED auxiliary headlights is available in two color variants: classic chrome or sporty piano black. -As is typical of LEDs, the light color of the auxiliary headlights is no longer yellowish, but white. This goes very well with xenon or LED main headlights. -Thanks to the color temperature of 5,700 Kelvin (daylight white), the LED auxiliary headlights are also much more pleasant to the eye. -At night or in poor weather and visibility conditions, the LED auxiliary headlights illuminate the road even better. The headlight flasher is also amplified, which can be helpful in dangerous situations. -In contrast to halogen auxiliary headlights, LED auxiliary headlights do not have a switch-on delay. -The LED auxiliary headlights can be easily retrofitted if halogen auxiliary headlights were previously installed. The wiring harness remains completely identical, only the control module needs to be replaced. -The LED auxiliary headlights are homologated with the entire vehicle. Functionality: -The LED auxiliary headlights are activated when the high beam is switched on or when the headlight flasher is activated. -On vehicles with adaptive LED headlights with matrix light function (SA 552), the LED auxiliary headlights are automatically deactivated/activated when vehicles in front or approaching are detected. -With SAE version (USA): Activation of the standard high beam via additional button. -Pedestrian protection is secured. -The vehicle remains suitable for car washes. Technical information: -Dimensions: Diameter 144 mm, depth 70 mm -Three LEDs with color temperature 5700 K, daylight white. -Reference number: 12.5 per headlight -Approved for ECE/SAE/CCC/Japan. Notes: -Can only be installed in conjunction with bracket. -An additional CAN interface must be ordered for LED headlights (SA 5A2), LED headlights with cornering light (SA 5A4) and adaptive LED headlights with matrix light function (SA 552). -For SAE version: An additional push-button must be ordered. -For R55-R61 vehicles: A knee protection with push-button must be ordered for the SAE version. The ECE and SAE versions are only available in conjunction with bracket and grille.
