Trailer coupling

Description

The retrofit kit trailer coupling with detachable ball head corresponds to the standard special equipment detachable trailer coupling (SA 235). The trailer coupling is suitable for trailer loads of 1,100 kg to 1,800 kg (depending on the engine) and a drawbar load of up to 75 kg. After installation, the retrofit kit must be added to the vehicle order by coding. A special feature compared to the competition is the trailer stability control: the vehicle's standard DSC dynamic control system takes into account the special conditions of driving with a trailer and thus increases safety. For this reason, retrofitting is always accompanied by coding of the control electronics by the dealer. It also has the effect of deactivating any electronic parking aid when reverse gear is engaged in trailer mode. The trailer stability control is a system integrated in the DSC and is activated via the socket at the rear. The trailer coupling is also suitable for fitting a bicycle carrier. For vehicles without comfort access (SA 322), the BDC (Body Domain Control) must also be ordered and replaced. Only in conjunction with rear bumper thermal insulation.
