In addition to charging the cell phone, the adapter ensures safe and stable storage thanks to the retaining clip. The inductive coupling of the external aerial ensures optimum network reception. The Connect adapter supports the telephony, charging, entertainment, cover art and apps functions, as well as digital audio signal and title display in vehicles with S6NSA (=ConnectedDrive realignment / comfort telephony with extended smartphone). This variant can also be used in all vehicles without S6NSA and without S6NFA (= music interface for smartphone). -The new Connect Univeral snap-in adapter is suitable for all Apple iPhone devices with a Lightning connector. This means that the 5, 5C, 5S, 6, 6 Plus, 6S and 6S Plus devices can be used. -Fan function: The snap-in adapter has an integrated fan. This is designed to prevent the temperature-sensitive area of the smartphone from overheating through air circulation. This can delay or even prevent a premature temperature-based shutdown of the device. -Good connections: The snap-in adapter connects the phone to the vehicle's external aerial. This ensures the best possible network reception. -The snap-in adapter offers a particularly fast, optimum charging function. If the cell phone is inserted in the snap-in adapter, it is charged twice as fast as with the USB socket. Elegant appearance: The retaining bracket has a very high-quality appearance as it is made of stainless steel and matt black plastic. The holding bracket has a rubberized coating on the underside to ensure that the display does not get scratched. -The rubberized surface of the support also ensures safe and stable storage of the cell phone in the vehicle. -All snap-in adapters have been certified in accordance with Apple's "Made for iPhone" (MFI) guidelines and therefore guarantee optimum interaction between the connected Apple iPhone device and the vehicle. Technical information Functions: The space available in the center console varies depending on the vehicle model. Due to the different dimensions of the individual cell phones, it is necessary to check in advance whether there is sufficient space for the use of the corresponding device. Measurements can be taken with the snap-in adapter and the respective end device. To avoid any conflict with the connection cable, the retaining clip can be moved to different positions or removed completely if necessary. The connection to the external antenna not only improves the reception and transmission performance, but also reduces the radiation in the vehicle interior. Functionality: Before setting up for the first time, the enclosed cable must be connected to the back of the adapter and routed upwards via the cut-out. The cell phone is then connected to the Lightning connector and then inserted under the retaining clip. As soon as the driver has inserted the smartphone into the snap-in adapter, a connection to the external antenna is established via a contactless antenna connection (coupling antenna). This guarantees optimum transmission and reception quality.
