Description
The short box in silver measures 140 x 90 x 39 cm and has a capacity of 350 liters. As this is an original BMW roof box, it fits all BMW roof rack systems. The weight of the roof box is approx. 17 kg. The maximum payload must not exceed 50 kg. Thanks to the innovative opening system with triple central locking on both sides, the roof box can be easily loaded and locked to prevent theft. The sealing principle of this roof box is based on the fact that, on the one hand, the edge of the upper shell is pulled down deeply and, on the other hand, the upper and lower shells are very precisely matched to each other in the area of the sealing edge. This is necessary to ensure that the BMW roof box is leak-proof when driving. In order to ensure that the upper shell always fits 100% evenly in the area of the sealing edge to the lower shell, the upper shell is relatively elastic in terms of rigidity. This is necessary to ensure that the roof box remains watertight in all driving situations and has no influence on operational safety. The roof box is tested in a fully loaded state in frontal, rear and side crashes and meets the high BMW test requirements. Like all BMW roof boxes, it is therefore safer than all other roof box models on the market.
