Material: precious resin (barrel), platinum-plated brass (cap), 14 K gold 585 rhodium-plated (nib) Shiny, platinum-plated fittings -anthracite lacquered stripes on cap and front section -precious resin barrel with "Montblanc for BMW" embossed pattern -Made in Germany Gold rhodium-plated: The gold is coated with a thin layer of rhodium sulphate in an electrochemical bath. This process protects the precious metal from wear and scratches and gives it a fine sheen. Care instructions: To maintain its flawless condition, the fountain pen should be cleaned approximately every three months. This is particularly important if the ink has dried out due to infrequent use, the ink feed is blocked, a different ink color is to be used or the ink flow is decreasing. We recommend lukewarm water without chemical additives for cleaning. Condensation may form in the cap after cleaning. This can dissolve residues of dried ink, which can affect the color of the new ink. The nib and cap should therefore be cleaned with a damp, lint-free cloth. To prevent leakage, the fountain pen should always be completely filled with new ink and carried with the nib pointing upwards.
