This easy-to-use rear bike rack is equipped with removable mounting arms, can carry two bicycles or e-bikes as standard, and—thanks to its new, extra-long timing belts (available as an option)—is also suitable for transporting fat bikes. -Easy installation: Secure bikes using a ratchet system -One-handed operation of the ball-head clamping system -Easy handling: Unfold the bike rails in two simple steps -Quick-release system for locking the support brackets -Removable and freely positionable support arms -Transports bikes with a wheelbase of up to 130 cm -Meets the highest quality and safety standards -High load capacity of 2 x 30 kg (bike weight) -Lightweight, yet stable and very durable -Folding function for better access to the rear -Adjustable lights -Includes a universal license plate holder Technical Specifications: -Dimensions (L x W x H), each without the third wheel rail mounted: -Folded: 640 x 640 x 243 mm -Open: 640 x 1190 x 745 mm -Weight without third bike rail: approx. 14 kg -Distance between bike rails: 220 mm -Bicycle length (with center alignment) from 720 mm up to 1,300 mm wheelbase (front axle to rear axle of the bicycle) Installation time: -Initial installation by the customer takes approx. 5–10 minutes -Each subsequent installation takes approximately 2 minutes Notes: -For vehicles with high-mounted exhaust systems (e.g., X5 and X6) or for the X3 and X4, an exhaust heat shield must be installed on both the left and right sides. This must be ordered separately if necessary. -Also compatible with the optional rear luggage rack preparation kit (SA 3AR) when used with a ball-head rear carrier. Safety Instructions: -Loose bicycle components (e.g., battery pack, panniers, baskets, child seats) must be removed before riding. -Before mounting the carrier on the trailer hitch, use appropriate cleaning agents to ensure that the ball and the clamping system are free of grease and oil. -Installing the third wheel rail, which results in a longer lever arm, reduces the rear carrier’s total load capacity from 60 kg to 52 kg.
