Description

This product is made from sandblasted 25 mm titanium tubing for reduced weight and improved corrosion resistance. It is approximately 40% lighter than comparable stainless steel versions, but still offers the same high-strength mechanical properties. It weighs 3.02 kg, making it one of the lightest guard sets on the market for the BMW R 1300 GS / R 1300 GS Adventure. The design was developed to protect the motorcycle engine and is partially attached to the chassis to dissipate shocks. It is designed to be integrated into the components of the motorcycle and has been comprehensively evaluated in numerous tests and deformation analyses. Precision engineered with Akrapovič's attention to detail, this guard set has no tilt angle restriction and complies with ABE type approval . 2.5mm thick carbon fiber protectors provide structural strength and give the end user the ability to replace these parts if damaged. They are precision TIG welded and fitted with laser cut and precision machined 10mm flanges to ensure a perfect fit and strength. The set is engraved with an Akrapovič logo, with the word 'Titanium' clearly visible to emphasize the use of this material. Once fitted, the guard set offers the option of attaching additional bags and fog lights or headlights from BMW and other manufacturers to the bars. We recommend having the protection bar set installed by a qualified mechanic. This product fits the BMW R 1300 GS Adventure and is also compatible with the BMW Option 719.
