Optional header (SS)

Description

This manifold was developed as an upgrade to complete a full system in combination with the Akrapovič Slip-On Line (Titanium). It is made of high quality titanium with a carbon fiber heat shield. It is designed exclusively for closed competition tracks and improves performance and reduces weight. Pipes with a larger diameter than the standard system and the removed catalytic converter allow for improved gas flow. The pre-silencer offers a unique sound experience and produces a deep racing tone from the boxer engine. This upgrade results in a weight reduction of 54.84% (3.4 kg) compared to the standard system. In combination with the Slip-On Line (Titanium ) it increases power by 3.1 kW (4.2 hp) at 7,800 rpm and torque by 5.9 Nm at 3,000 rpm, tested on the Akrapovič dyno compared to a BMW R 1300 GS with a standard system. Installation is plug-and-play, but remapping is mandatory . The optional manifold is also compatible with the Akrapovič Standard (First Fit) / BMW Motorrad Accessories Akrapovič silencer. The ECE type approval for the Slip-On Line (Titanium) expires with the installation of the optional manifold (Titanium). When installing the optional header in Euro5+ motorcycles (2 lambda sensors), the engine control light lights up after a deviation in the parameters of the standard catalytic converter has been detected.
