Description

This is a high-quality, lightweight titanium system with optional round or hexagonal tailpipes made of carbon fiber and titanium (the choice of one of these is mandatory). Complex parts, such as the X-connection and specially developed headers, are cast in the in-house titanium foundry. The exhaust system has no exhaust valves and the main exhaust pipes have an enlarged diameter. Together with acoustic reflectors on the tailpipes, a special resonator and the X-connection, which allows the mixing of gases from both sides of the engine, these elements create a refined Akrapovič sound experience in all riding modes and deliver a deep and sporty sound. An additional damping element is added to the connecting pipe, enhancing the sound quality and comfort of the Akrapovič exhaust while providing a unique sound experience. Compared to a BMW M5 with standard exhaust, power increases of 8.5 kW (11.5 hp) at 6,150 rpm and torque increases of 15.6 Nm at 2,550 rpm were recorded on the Akrapovič dyno. This exhaust system is 41.1 % (15.44 kg) lighter than the standard version. It was developed for vehicles without a gasoline particulate filter. Installation is very simple via plug-and-play, without the need for remapping. Note: Performance tests were carried out with OPF vehicles.
