With the BMW Group charging cable for public charging stations, plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV) and battery electric vehicles (BEV) can be charged quickly and reliably at public charging stations. The BMW Group charging cable can be used in all countries that support the Type 2 standard for plugs. Designed according to charging mode 3. This means that the charging cable can be used at all appropriately designed charging stations. -Transmission of charging currents of up to 32 amps. This means that charging processes with up to 7.4 kW are possible (depending on the vehicle). This means that the electric vehicle can be charged up to three times faster than with the standard charging cable. -The single-phase charging cable offers an optimal price-performance ratio for BMW and MINI PHEV vehicles that can only charge single-phase. -The charging cable is ideally packaged for transport thanks to the spiral design and the perfectly fitting cable bag. -The coordinated design of the charging cable and wallbox creates an attractive overall package with the right solution for flexible charging - at home and on the road. -The BMW Group charging cable has been tested with all BMW and MINI PHEV and BEV models and meets BMW Group quality standards. The silver-plated and corrosion-resistant contacts significantly reduce electrical resistance. The resulting durability and increased electrical safety are not achieved by conventional cables with brass contacts. Functionality: -The charging cable is equipped with coding, allowing the charging station and vehicle to determine the maximum permissible current. The optimum charging power is achieved without overloading the charging cable. -The ergonomically shaped plugs are robust and comfortable to hold. -The adaptation to the charging connections of BMW and MINI vehicles facilitates daily handling.
