The Wallbox Pure is a home charging station for BMW i electric vehicles and BMW plug-in hybrid vehicles. It allows you to charge your vehicle safely, quickly and conveniently at home. The Wallbox Pure was developed taking into account numerous customer requirements and the experience of the 1st generation of BMW i electric vehicles. Attention was also paid to ergonomics, design and materials, safety and sustainable production. The scope of delivery does not include the cabling from the domestic installation to the Wallbox pure or the fuse protection. This is specific to each market and connection case and is determined by the installer on site. Ergonomics: -Maximum charging convenience: The high cable attachment eliminates the need to wind and unwind the cable. This avoids bending down and dirty hands. -The lower shelf offers space for car keys or other objects. -Plug & Play: Similar to refueling systems, the charging cable hangs next to the Wallbox Pure, which can be removed with one hand and plugged into the vehicle. Charging then starts automatically without any further operating steps being necessary. The high-quality rubberized handle of the vehicle plug is ergonomically shaped and sits comfortably and non-slip in the hand. Design and material: -The ergonomic and high-quality design is characterized by selected, high-quality and environmentally friendly materials. The housing contains recycled material and is made of durable, weather-resistant plastic. The high-quality multi-layer coating of the outer parts meets the highest demands: it provides lasting protection for the Wallbox Pure and contributes to a harmonious appearance with the vehicle. -Weather resistance: The Wallbox pure can be permanently mounted inside and outside. -Winner of the iF product design award 2014. Dynamic lines, winding surfaces and the characteristic "stream flow" design create a seamless experience. Safety: -All installed components are certified to international standards and tested by BMW (i). -All-in-one BMW service: You can take advantage of professional advice from a BMW (i) employee, the BMW (i) installation service and the BMW (i) hotline. -Together with a partner (Deutsche Telekom Technischer Service GmbH), BMW (i) offers expert installation by a BMW (i) electrician. -Installing the BMW i Wallbox pure is not without risk. An incorrect procedure can also result in damage to the BMW i Wallbox. It is therefore essential that you have the installation, initial commissioning and maintenance of the BMW i Wallbox carried out by appropriately trained, qualified and authorized electricians. Only then will the warranty be fully valid. If the installation is carried out without authorization or by another service provider, BMW (i) accepts no liability in the event of damage. -A voucher is required for the installation. The Wallbox Pure offers a high level of safety across all countries by meeting all country-specific requirements, as well as electrical protection class IP54 and mechanical protection class IK08. The Wallbox Pure contains all safety-related modules for safe and reliable vehicle charging. Sustainable production: -The supplier with the world's longest experience in the field of electric vehicle charging and a certification for sustainable production is responsible for the development of the Wallbox Pure. -The electronic components are manufactured in the USA for the American market and in France for the European market. This shortens transportation routes and saves CO². -Sustainable mobility: The environmentally conscious image of electric vehicles is transferred to BMW i and plug-in hybrid drivers. Functionality: -Compared to the basic OUC cable supplied, the charging speed is increased by up to 25%. -The wallbox can be locked with the integrated key switch. The vehicle continues to charge. Meanwhile, the wallbox is protected against unauthorized use. -Manual charging interruption: The start/stop button can be used to end or interrupt charging of the vehicle. The vehicle can be unplugged briefly without using the vehicle's remote control. The Wallbox Pure supports the specific function "time-controlled charging".
