M Performance exhaust system

Description

The stainless steel diesel exhaust system specially developed for the new diesel engines impresses with a sporty and rich sound. The laser-engraved M Performance lettering further emphasizes the sportiness. The sound design is tuned in such a way that long-distance capability is maintained without sacrificing emotionality. -Excellent, sporty sound on the outside and in the interior. -The sound is a combination of several components: The classic engine sound, which is emphasized by the redesign of the exhaust system and the sound generated by the actuators, additionally underline the sporty character. -sound in the interior: The sound is always generated in the outer rear area of the vehicle. This can also be experienced in the interior, analogous to the well-known and appreciated BMW M Performance sports silencers. The sound can be individually controlled via the driving experience switch: Eco Pro deactivates the actuators for an acoustically restrained appearance with a focus on long-distance suitability. Comfort impresses with a present sound - perfect for everyday use. Sport and Sport+ mean full sound development and maximum emotionality. -Developed using the latest CAD and FEM technology for optimum fit and OEM quality. -The development was carried out in cooperation with various specialist departments at BMW. -The product receives the usual BMW quality and warranty claims. -Made in Germany: Development and production take place in Germany. -The competition sometimes works with modular systems for several vehicle types. Fine-tuning to the specific vehicle (acoustically and mechanically) is not possible. Integration into the on-board electronics is developed and secured according to BMW standards. Special care must be taken when interfering with the vehicle electronics. -The integration of the system is perfectly designed for the BMW vehicle electrical system. -The sound is generated in the control unit by means of the signals on the CAN line and forwarded to the actuators. -BMW guarantees top quality - both in terms of sound and mechanics. -The exhaust system has been specifically adapted to the body shapes and basic acoustics of the respective engines. Notes: -All legal requirements are met. -When installing 8-cylinder chrome/carbon tailpipe trims on vehicles without the M package, the rear apron must be trimmed and fitted with a cut-out trim. When installing 8-cylinder chrome/carbon tailpipe trims on vehicles with M package (except M550d), the rear diffuser must be replaced. -On vehicles with the M package, the rear bumper trim is always required in addition to the chrome or carbon trim. -On vehicles without the M package, the set of tailpipes is always required in addition to the chrome or carbon trim.
