Description

With the charging cable for public charging stations, plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV), such as the BMW 330e, can be charged quickly and reliably at public charging stations. In contrast to the previous AC fast charging cable, 3-phase charging with up to 22 kW power is supported. -Maximum flexibility: transmission of charging currents of up to 32 A per phase. This means that 1-phase charging processes with up to 7.4 kW or 3-phase charging processes with max. 22 kW are possible (depending on the vehicle). -The charging cable is ideally packaged for transport thanks to the flat spiral and the perfectly fitting cable bag. -The enclosed gloves allow "clean" handling, even in rain and slush. -The coordinated design of the charging cable and wallbox creates an attractive overall package with the right solution for flexible charging - at home and on the road. -The charging cable has been tested with all BMW PHEV models and meets BMW Group quality standards. The silver-plated and corrosion-resistant contacts significantly reduce electrical resistance. The resulting durability and increased electrical safety are not achieved by conventional cables with brass contacts. -The innovative spiralization creates a weight and volume saving (approx. 60 % lighter). -Functionality: -The cable is equipped with coding, allowing the charging station and vehicle to determine the maximum permissible current.
