Slip-On Line

Description

This high-quality, lightweight titanium exhaust system is 31.8% lighter (6.12 kg) than the standard exhaust system and was developed for vehicles with a gasoline particulate filter. It has EC/ECE type approval. Complex parts were cast in the in-house titanium foundry, including the exhaust valve housings and specially developed manifolds. The main exhaust pipes have a larger diameter and the system includes a special control kit that uses valves to create a refined Akrapovič sound experience with a deep and sporty sound in all riding modes. The system is rounded off with a mandatory set of either hexagonal or round tailpipes in carbon fiber and titanium (customer's choice), both with integrated acoustic reflectors to reflect some of the exterior noise towards the passenger compartment. Compared to a BMW M5 with standard exhaust, power increases of 5.2 kW (7.1 hp) at 2,050 rpm and a torque increase of 24.3 Nm at 2,050 rpm were achieved on the Akrapovič test bench. Installation is simply plug-and-play, without the need for remapping. The standard exhaust system must be cut out for installation. Please read the instructions carefully before starting the installation. To make the installation of the Slip-On Line (Titanium) even more attractive, Akrapovič has developed various optional parts that complement the exhaust and enhance the visual effect. In addition to the optional tailpipe set (carbon) in hexagonal or round design, a handmade rear diffuser made of carbon and a rear lip (carbon) are also available. For even more performance enhancement, an optional connecting pipe is available, as is the optional Akrapovič Sound Kit for sound control. Both were developed for use in a closed circuit. Installation of these options invalidates the EC/ECE type approval for the Slip-On Line (titanium).
