Slip-On Line

Description

Made of lightweight, high quality titanium and with handmade carbon tailpipes, this system offers noticeable weight savings, more power and torque, and a dramatic sound. The system delivers a weight reduction of 11.89 kg compared to the stock system, an incredible 33% difference. Power and torque increase by 3.4 kW (4.6 hp) at 2,650 rpm and 12.4 Nm at 2,650 rpm, determined on the Akrapovič dyno compared to a BMW M440i with standard exhaust system. The use of special parts integrated into the system provide an intoxicating sound. Two valves instead of one as in the standard configuration are calibrated to adjust the sound, and two acoustic reflectors are fitted to the tailpipes to direct the sound into the vehicle's interior and change the driving experience to create an absolutely impressive sound in the vehicle's cockpit, providing thrills and pleasure for the occupants. Since the Akrapovič Slip-On Line (Titanium) exhaust system has two valves, one more than the stock system, a TNG controller is included in the product to control the additional exhaust valve. Two resonators, one on each side of the central muffler, perfect the sound experience. The smooth, rich sound during normal driving increases to a deep and sporty sound during more enthusiastic driving. The sound can also be controlled from the cockpit when the optional Akrapovič Sound Kit is added. Special parts are cast in Akrapovič's in-house foundry to produce the intricate and complex components needed for this system. The system complies with EC/ECE type approval and no reprogramming is required in this configuration (the system can only be used with vehicles equipped with a gasoline particulate filter and the ECE certificate is valid only for these vehicles; Evolution Line system is available for vehicles without a gasoline particulate filter). For those who wish to upgrade to the Slip-On Line exhaust system (Titanium), an optional Link Pipe Set is available. This product is suitable for the BMW M340i with gasoline particulate filter and for the BMW M340i xDrive Touring (G21).
