Description
From the racetrack straight onto the road: the lightweight flap exhaust system with titanium rear silencer produces a highly emotive, racing-like sound. It was specially developed for M models. Visually, the ceramic-coated titanium tailpipe trim module (consisting of four centrally arranged tailpipe trims) gives the vehicle an unmistakable and completely new look. Due to the material properties of titanium, the tailpipe trims can turn yellowish/bluish with increasing temperature. The tailpipe trim module and the rear diffuser are mandatory and must be ordered separately. -The M Performance silencer system gives the rear of the vehicle a striking and individual look. -The perforated inner pipes show a maximum of high-tech, sportiness and emphasize the individual character traits of the BMW M. -Sounds like performance: The Motordynamic button can be used to switch between several modes that influence the performance of the exhaust system: -Sport and Sport+ Mode: extremely emotional sound, very sporty, maximum performance. -Efficient mode: sportier and more emotional sound compared to the standard version, but with residual comfort for uncompromising everyday use. -The optimized exhaust routing enhances the characterful 6-cylinder bi-turbo sound and underlines the sporty driving experience. -Tested quality: design, materials and safety meet the usual high BMW GROUP standards. -All legal requirements are met. No additional approvals or registrations in the vehicle documents are required. -Complete silencer system made in Germany. The original BMW M Performance exhaust system was developed and tested entirely in-house at BMW in cooperation with the various specialist departments and BMW M GmbH. -The silencer system was developed using the latest CAD and FEM technology. This ensures optimum fitting accuracy and manufacturer quality.
