The Original BMW retrofit Speed Limit Info (SA 8TH) shows the driver the current speed limit in the instrument cluster or optionally in the Head-Up Display (SA 610). A camera in the base of the interior mirror monitors the traffic signs, signs next to and above the roadside and takes into account the information from the navigation system. In built-up areas, for example, the valid speed is displayed even without a traffic sign. The system can pass on variable speed limits - for example in wet conditions, at night, at roadworks or in the event of speed limit signs - to the driver according to the situation. The optional equipment camera-based lane departure warning (SA 5AD) and navigation system Professional (SA 609) must be fitted in vehicles built from 03/2010. Cannot be retrofitted in vehicles with radar-based lane departure warning (SA 5AG) or high beam assistant (SA 5AC).
