USB Update Road Map Europe Way

The flexible update concept for EntryEvo (HU-B2 with navigation system) enables regional navigation data to be installed as required. The selection is made automatically according to GPS location. In addition to the USB update, an activation code (FSC HU-B2 Nav Map Europe Initial) is required. This is not included in the scope of delivery and must be ordered separately! For all vehicles with navigation system 606, 6UM, 6UP , 6UN and 6U2 Headunit Bacic Navigation 2. The data volume of the map material for Europe has grown continuously over the last few years, so that the storage space is no longer sufficient for head unit variants with 32 GB. As a result, individual regions of the European map material must be deselected. Head units from 07/2020 with 64 GB memory are not affected by the region selection. -Optimal memory usage: Only required regions are installed, which makes the best possible use of the limited memory capacity of the head unit. -Easy to use: The update starts automatically when the USB stick is inserted. The progress indicator and clear user guidance make operation easier. -Automatic region preselection: The software sorts regions according to distance from the current GPS location. -Flexible post-installation: Additional regions can be installed at any time using the USB stick, depending on memory requirements. Functionality: A USB stick is inserted to update the EntryEvo navigation system. The software automatically suggests suitable map regions based on the current GPS location. The desired regions can be selected and installed. The system is then activated using the "Restart navigation now" button and is then ready for use with the selected regions. Notes: -For correct GPS positioning, the vehicle must be parked in the open air. The automatic region preselection may not work in garages or tunnels. -Only a limited number of regions can be installed at the same time. The "Restart navigation" button is deactivated in the event of over-selection. -After the update, only the installed regions are available for navigation. It is not possible to route via non-installed regions. -After successful installation, the navigation system must be restarted to activate the new data. -Do not remove the USB stick until the installation status has reached 100%. Safety note: The USB stick should only be inserted and regions selected when the vehicle is stationary in order to avoid distractions and the risk of accidents while driving.
