The Snap-In Adapter Universal is suitable for all smartphones with a USB type C connection (USB-C). The USB-C connector is smaller than its predecessors and is installed in all newer devices. The new snap-in adapter can always be used if no specifically suitable snap-in adapter is available for the corresponding cell phone. Get in, insert, get going: With the Snap-In Adapter Universal, you can experience your personal communication and entertainment program from your cell phone directly in the vehicle. In addition to fast charging of the smartphone, it is also kept safe and stable by the retaining bracket. Inductive coupling with the external aerial ensures optimum network reception - even in areas with moderate to poor network coverage. A true all-rounder: The new Snap-In Adapter Universal is suitable for all cell phones with the new USB-C connector and therefore covers a wide range of new models from different manufacturers. -Elegant appearance: The mounting bracket is made of chrome and matt black plastic. These materials give it a particularly high-quality appearance. The elegant BMW lettering further enhances this feature. -The rubberized surface ensures that your cell phone is held securely and stably in the vehicle. -Easy to use: When setting up the adapter for the first time, the cable is plugged into the back of the adapter and then guided upwards via the cut-out. -The smartphone is now connected to the cable and then pushed under the retaining bracket. This lowers slowly and gently onto the device. The rubberized underside of the bracket prevents the display from being scratched. -The cable supplied has been specially developed by BMW with a precise fit in terms of its electrical properties. Thanks to the high-quality shielding, good transmission without interference noise is guaranteed. -Personal entertainment program on board: The music stored on your smartphone can be conveniently operated and played via the music player (depending on the vehicle equipment) thanks to the integrated USB interface in the adapter. Playback takes place via your vehicle's loudspeaker system. The album cover of the currently playing music track can also be shown on the vehicle display (depending on vehicle equipment and year of manufacture). This makes it easier to assign the individual tracks to an album or artist at a glance ("cover art"). -Fast, optimized charging function: As soon as the device is inserted into the Snap-In Adapter Universal, it is charged twice as fast as with the USB socket. -The cell phone is connected to the vehicle's external aerial via the Snap-In Adapter Universal. This ensures the best possible network reception - especially in areas with poor network coverage. -The BMW app "BMW Connected" allows you to call up news, Wiki Local, calendar entries and Facebook. The app is available free of charge in the Google Play Store and can be used for vehicles from production date 03/2013 with the BMW ConnectedDrive SA 6NR (BMW Apps) equipment. For technical reasons, vehicle compatibility is initially only available for some smartphones. A detailed overview of the approved smartphones can be found in the description in the Google Play Store. -The telephony, charging, entertainment and apps functions are supported by the Snap-In Adapter Universal. They are required in vehicles with SA 6NS (convenience telephony with extended smartphone connection) that only use a digital audio signal. -Depending on the vehicle model, the space available in the center console varies. Due to the different dimensions of the individual cell phones, you should check in advance whether there is enough space to use the corresponding device.
