M Performance Drive Analyzer

Description

The M Performance Drive Analyzer is a product that is essentially a new type of recording and analysis tool for driving with vehicle information. For example, it can be used to record and analyze braking distance measurements or distance races. This product consists of two parts: -Hardware: OBD stick (on board diagnostic), which is plugged into the vehicle. -Software: App for the smartphone. -The system, which is derived from motorsport, provides the driver with all important driving dynamics data and offers extensive and professional recording and analysis options that can be evaluated and displayed via the smartphone. The smartphone can be easily attached to the windshield using the Click & Drive holder, which is available separately. Data recording begins when the engine and app are started. The driver can view the results directly on the smartphone after each journey. This allows the driver to experience the full potential of their vehicle. The product is suitable for all vehicles from 2008 onwards (including motorsport), but not for plug-in hybrids and electric vehicles. Product features: -The M Performance Drive Analyser enables the perfect analysis of driving behavior. -On the one hand, the Drive Analyser is suitable for sporty, dynamic drivers who also use the product on race tracks. On the other hand, this product is an ideal companion for everyday use when the desired driving dynamics data needs to be determined simply and professionally. -The Drive Analyzer determines a large number of relevant key figures, such as various engine data, speed and peak values, current gear, gas pedal and brake use or lateral acceleration (see Technical Information). -Immediately after recording, the results can be played back and analyzed on the smartphone in the form of videos or graphical representations. -Both the hardware and the app are branded with the sporty BMW M Performance design and ideally match the instrument panel and interior of the vehicles from the M Performance range. -The smartphone can be attached quickly and conveniently using the BMW Click & Drive holder, which is also available as an accessory. -Both the OBD stick and the BMW Click & Drive holder can be easily installed using the plug & play mechanism. -The M Performance Drive Analyzer app is free of charge for BMW customers. Functionality -Without the OBD stick, you can only view the app and get a taste of the functions. The full functionality can only be executed with the purchased and installed stick (socket for plugging in is located in the driver's footwell). -The app runs on Android and iOS smartphones as well as on tablets, which are particularly suitable for the evaluations due to their larger screen. -The M Performance Drive Analyzer app can be downloaded from the iOS and Android stores. -With the Demo Track, all analysis functions can be tested before purchase. -The smartphone connects to the vehicle via the OBD stick and transforms it into an interactive driving experience system. The smartphone and OBD stick are connected using Bluetooth Low Energy technology and only need to be connected once per vehicle. -The software is activated once using the activation code supplied with the hardware (internet connection required). -After successful installation and pairing, recording can begin. All measured activities are stored directly on the smartphone and can be called up again at any time. -The BMW Head-Up Screen can be retrofitted as an option. All TestDrive data is transmitted and displayed synchronously via WLAN using the connection to the Head-Up Screen. -The video export function (iOS only) automatically generates an mp4 video file including overlay data. The generated video file is stored in the image gallery and can be sent from there via YouTube, WhatsApp and iTunes, for example. -The CoreDrive display has been expanded to include the following driving dynamics data: coolant temperature, engine oil temperature (depending on model), engine speed, engine load, speed, intake manifold/charging pressure. -The TrackDrive Graph shows the progression of fuel consumption over time not only in liters/100 km, but now also in liters/hour, gallons/100 miles and gallons/hour. Technical information: Video data, audio data and GPS data can be recorded and played back with the M Performance Drive Analyzer. In addition, the following driving dynamics data can be measured: RPM, engine power, lateral acceleration, brake deceleration, gear engaged, altitude above sea level, reaction start times, distance races, CO2 emissions, fuel consumption, catalytic converter temperature, on-board voltage, ignition angle, intake temperature, fuel pressure, air mass, coolant temperature, engine oil temperature, engine load, speed, intake manifold/charging pressure. Note: -Firmware adaptation OBD stick: The red LED is switched off to reduce power consumption in stand-by mode. The OBD stick can be updated with the new firmware at any time. -The product is suitable for all vehicles built from 2008 onwards (including motorsport), but not for plug-in hybrid and electric vehicles. -Apple devices: The product is suitable for devices from iOS 9, from iPhone 5, iPad mini/iPad Air (only with "WiFi + Cellular" equipment). -Android devices: The product is suitable for devices from Android 4.3
