Description

With the M carbon-ceramic brake, the application of braking force is even more direct, it is corrosion-free, even more heat-resistant, has greatly reduced wear and contributes to weight savings, which has a positive effect on agility, dynamics and acceleration. It also offers a unique combination of design, installation space integration and interaction with control and driver assistance systems. Due to the material-specific properties, increased functional noise can occur during braking, e.g. during prolonged low loads or in wet conditions shortly before the vehicle comes to a standstill. This design-related noise development can be avoided if the brake is braked dry after being applied in wet conditions or if it is applied again with a higher load after a longer period of light braking. Due to the influence of wetness and road salt, e.g. after using car washes, overnight condensation, driving in the rain, etc., the braking effect can correspond to that of a conventional braking system. This reduced braking effect can be compensated for with higher pedal pressure if necessary.
