The M Performance stainless steel pedal pads in the new M footrest design are a visually appealing and functional addition to the M Performance products. The asymmetrical and three-dimensional design of the rubber profiles give the footwell a dynamic character. The stainless steel overlays, which extend far around the standard pedals, completely cover them, giving the pedal series a very high-end look. For vehicles without the M Sport package, an optional M Performance footrest in the design of the original M footrest is available for retrofitting. Thanks to their dynamic and sporty look, the pedals give the footwell a very high-quality appearance. The strongly raised rubber profiles on the brake and clutch pedals provide a firm grip and prevent slipping. Material: Supports for brake and clutch pedal made of EPDM (ethylene propylene diene rubber) with stainless steel frame. Support for the accelerator pedal made of reinforced plastic and stainless steel inlay. Footrest: ABS base (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) with stainless steel inlay and soft TPU elements (Thermoplastic Elastomers). The brake pedal rest is bolted to the stock pedal via 3 bolts and nuts. The accelerator pedal pad is bonded via double-sided adhesive tape and additionally attached to the series pedal via 2 plastic self-tapping screws.

The stainless steel covers, which wrap extensively around the stock pedals, completely enclose them, giving the pedal assembly a very premium look. For vehicles without the M Sport Package, an M Performance footrest—designed to match the original M footrest—is available as an optional retrofit. With their dynamic and sporty look, the pedals lend the footwell a very high-quality appearance. The stock components are completely covered. The pronounced rubber profiles on the brake and clutch pedals provide a firm grip and protection against slipping. Material: Covers for the brake and clutch pedals made of EPDM (ethylene-propylene-diene rubber) with stainless steel frames. Cover for the accelerator pedal made of reinforced plastic with stainless steel inserts. Footrest: ABS base (acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene) with a stainless steel insert and soft TPU elements (thermoplastic elastomers). The brake and clutch pedal pads are each secured to the stock pedals using 3 screws and nuts. The accelerator pedal cover is attached using double-sided adhesive tape and additionally secured to the stock pedal with two plastic self-tapping screws. No amendment to the vehicle documents or a separate certificate of registration is required for the M Performance stainless steel pedals. BMW has already covered the approval for the corresponding vehicles as part of the EC type approval.
