Description
Diesel vehicles are in no way inferior to gasoline vehicles in terms of driving performance. Only the sound has made a clear difference so far. For the first time, a sports exhaust system is now available especially for diesel vehicles, which also has an emotional, sporty sound. The M Performance Active Sound exhaust system is available from 18d upwards for all diesel vehicles in the BMW 2 Series, 3 Series and 4 Series. The sound has been tuned and tested in BMW's own sound laboratories - for maximum quality and consistency. This system is perfect for the sporty and dynamic driver and gives you the opportunity to individualize your vehicle in a very special way. -Larger tailpipe trims: Models 18d before 07/2015 and 20d, 25d, 30d, 35d enlargement from 70 mm to 76 m. -Larger tailpipe trims: Models 18d after 07/2015 and 20d, 25d, 30d, 35d enlargement from 75mm to 76mm. -The sound is a combination of several components: The classic engine sound, which is emphasized by the elimination of the rear silencer and the sound generated by the actuator, additionally underline the sporty character. -sound in the interior: The sound is always generated in the outer rear area of the vehicle. This can also be experienced in the interior, analogous to the well-known and appreciated BMW M Performance sports silencers. -Upgrade: All 18d customers now get an additional tailpipe. There is also an upgrade for all customers of 20d vehicles produced before 07/2015. -The system is perfectly coordinated with the M Performance portfolio and fully integrated into the design language. -The silencer system was developed using the latest CAD and FEM technology. Made in Germany: The M Performance Active Sound exhaust system was developed and tested entirely in-house at BMW in collaboration with the various specialist departments. -All legal requirements are met.
