The wireless charging case enables the Apple iPhone 5 and 5S to charge wirelessly. The wireless charging case enables charging in combination with all BMW wireless charging special equipment, accessories and inductive chargers that are certified according to the Qi charging standard. The cell phone is placed in the one-piece black cell phone case with BMW branding. The Apple iPhone is charged as soon as it is placed in the wireless charging case and rests on an inductive charging surface. The wireless charging function is not integrated in current Apple iPhones (as of August 2015); the wireless charging case enables wireless charging for Apple iPhones. For BMW models with SA6NW or the original BMW accessory product Snap-In Adapter Wireless Charging. If the device is almost fully charged (from approx. 95%), the charging process may switch off prematurely and restart shortly afterwards. This is perfectly normal and is a protective process for the smartphone in accordance with the user interface standard. Due to the technology, the cell phone heats up during wireless charging.
