Description

The Wallbox Plus is a home charging station for Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) and Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV). This allows you to charge your vehicle safely, quickly and independently at home. The wallbox was developed taking into account numerous customer requirements and the experience of the first generation of wallboxes. Attention was also paid to design, material, safety and sustainable production. -RFID recognition: The built-in chip card reader enables a maximum of 3 vehicles (3 cards) to be connected to the Wallbox Plus. The integrated lock function allows charging only after authentication with a paired card. -Charging management: The charging energy is regulated using an external electricity meter (not included) to ensure the maximum available charging current and at the same time prevent an overload in the domestic grid. -The Wallbox Plus can be controlled with a smartphone via app (iOS, Android). -Connection of the Wallbox Plus to smart home systems guarantees full integration into the household. You can find an overview of currently compatible smart home systems on the BMW i service page for charging products. -You can use the recorded charging history to display all relevant data in the app. -Compared to the OUC basic cable supplied with the vehicle, the wallbox achieves up to 6 times the charging speed. -DC fault detection is already integrated in the Wallbox Plus and therefore contributes to significant savings in installation costs. -Maximum charging convenience: The cable is wound and unwound around the Wallbox Plus; no need to bend down. -Plug & Play: When the plug is connected to the vehicle, charging starts automatically without the need for any further operating steps (if the RFID card reader is deactivated). Design and material: -The ergonomic and high-quality design is characterized by selected, high-quality and environmentally friendly materials. The housing contains recycled material and is made of durable plastic. The high-quality multi-layer coating of the outer parts meets the highest demands. It protects the wallbox permanently and contributes to a harmonious appearance with the vehicle. -Weather resistance: The wallbox can be permanently mounted both inside and outside. Safety: -All installed components are certified according to international standards and tested by the BMW Group. -All-in-one service: You can take advantage of professional advice from employees, the installation service and the BMW Group hotline. -Together with a partner, the BMW Group offers expert installation by an electrician. The wallbox offers a high level of safety across all countries by meeting all country-specific requirements, as well as electrical protection class IP54 and mechanical protection class IK08. The wallbox contains all safety-related modules for safe and reliable charging of the vehicle. Sustainable production: -A supplier with certification for sustainable production in the field of electric vehicle charging is responsible for the development of the wallbox. -Sustainable mobility: The environmentally conscious image of electric vehicles is transferred to the drivers. Functionality: -The energy meter for load management must be ordered separately. A list of possible meters can be found in the installation instructions. -The wallbox can be flexibly and easily connected to the household grid. The wallbox supports the vehicle-specific "time-controlled charging" function. This makes it possible to charge vehicles exclusively at certain times and thus take advantage of particularly favorable electricity rates, for example. Pre-air conditioning of the vehicle: The temperature in the vehicle can be preset. You will find your charged and already pre-heated or cooled vehicle in the morning. The energy required for this is provided via the wallbox when the vehicle is connected and is thus saved during the journey - to maximize the range. -The status display of the wallbox is shown by an LED bar on the front of the wallbox. The display on the wallbox means that you can always keep an eye on the current charging status, even from a distance. A list of possible meters can be found in the installation instructions. -The cabling from the domestic installation to the wallbox as well as the fuse protection is specific to each market and connection case and is determined by the installer on site.
