Rear box

Description

Original BMW rear box for bicycle rear carrier. For vehicles with a high exhaust system (X3 and larger), please also install the separately available heat protectors. These protect the rear box from excessively hot exhaust gases. Avoid long or repeated acceleration under full load (="full throttle"). Always observe the maximum load of the rear box, the maximum permissible load of the coupling carrier, the drawbar load of the trailer coupling as well as the permissible total weight of the vehicle and the maximum permissible load of the trailer coupling. the permissible gross vehicle weight and the maximum permissible axle load of the vehicle (see vehicle operating instructions). Otherwise, the rear box and/or rear bicycle carrier could detach from the vehicle and injure you and other persons and/or cause material damage, including to your vehicle. The maximum load of the rear box is limited to 45.0 kg. Do not exceed this value, otherwise the rear box could be damaged.
