Description

The BMW Advanced Car Eye is a highly sensitive Full HD camera that enables the detection of critical driving situations and the precise recording of a detailed video from the vehicle's perspective. When the vehicle is shaken, the camera starts recording and thus documents possible accidents or even (attempted) break-ins in the vehicle. Longitudinal and lateral acceleration are also recorded. Light-sensitive sensors ensure excellent images by day and by night. BMW Advanced Car Eye can be used universally for almost all BMW models. -Keeps an eye on dicey situations: The highly sensitive Full HD camera automatically records critical driving situations that could be relevant as evidence. The detailed video is also saved automatically - so the BMW Advanced Car Eye camera always serves as a reliable eyewitness. -Increased safety: The simultaneous view to the rear, by recording the rear view of the vehicle, enables a significantly better assessment of the driving situation and thus increased safety. -The BMW Split Screen is displayed on the start screen and thus enables a simultaneous view of the front camera and the rear window camera at a glance. Thanks to the various sensors of the light-sensitive camera and the excellent signal processing, the camera can take outstanding pictures both day and night. This gives the driver very good visibility in the dark. -The highly sensitive GPS receiver enables precise recording of the route and speed traveled. -Parking mode: If the vehicle is parked and movements or vibrations are detected in the video image, a video is automatically recorded before and after the incident. This means that the vehicle is monitored even if the driver does not have an eye on it. -The facts always in view: Storing the recorded videos in an event folder makes searching for events very easy. The large display ensures optimum readability. -Attractive design: The light, clear, very high-quality body is in anthracite metallic, the shiny chrome ring around the lens harmonizes with the aluminium casing of the frame. The BMW logo and lettering on the front camera and the BMW lettering on the rear window camera underline the high quality of the camera. The design of the BMW Advanced Car Eye thus stands out clearly from the outdoor look of FUN cameras. -Ease of use: The BMW Advanced Car Eye is visually well integrated into the vehicle. The clearly visible buttons make it easy to use. The self-explanatory, very simple menu navigation makes operating the camera very user-friendly. -Stand-by: The display dims automatically, so the driver is not dazzled while driving and the camera saves energy at the same time. One tap on the display is enough to make it light up again. -The BMW Advanced Car Eye is available both as a complete package with and without rear window camera (e.g. for use in convertibles) as well as individually with just the front camera (e.g. as a replacement after an accident). -On the one hand, the camera is very sturdily attached, on the other hand it is easy to remove. The tooth-in-tooth mechanism allows the angle to be set precisely and the mount can be used universally. -Easy to attach: The holder is simply stuck to the windshield using double-sided adhesive tape. The camera can be mounted without visible cables. Functionality: -Motion detection: the BMW Advanced Car Eye camera is automatically activated by vibrations and only records the situations in which something happens. The videos are saved in a separate folder, the so-called "event folder". Events can thus be retraced by simply clicking on the folder. -Recording: The camera has a micro SD card. It is very easy to download the videos to a PC. The adapter for USB is included in the scope of delivery. -The software for the BMW Advanced Car Eye camera can be easily downloaded from the Internet at: www.advancedcareye.com (for Windows operating systems only). However, the camera can also be operated without additional software. The PC software is only compatible with Windows operating systems. -Operating temperature: -40 °C to +80 °C -Storage temperature: -30 °C to +80 °C
