Description
The vehicle's integrated USB type A interface allows a variety of mobile audio sources, such as MP3 players, Apple iPod/iPhone or smartphones, to be played directly via the on-board audio system. BMW Accessories offers the appropriate adapter cable for this purpose. This adapter cable enables the device to be charged and the music tracks stored in the device to be played and operated via the iDrive Controller, multifunction steering wheel or radio. It also allows you to search for tracks by artist, album, playlist or genre on the on-board monitor or radio display. The adapter cable kit contains the three most common adapter cables, each with a length of 1.80 meters (6 ft): -1 x adapter cable for Apple iPhone/iPod (Lightning) -1 x adapter cable for Micro-USB -1 x adapter cable for USB type C Depending on the vehicle model, equipment and year of manufacture, cover art can be displayed or videos can be played on the on-board display. -Up to date: The matching adapter cable kit is also available for vehicles with the new USB type C socket. -The robust design (special bend protection and Kevlar reinforcement) and the special length make the adapter cables particularly suitable for use in the vehicle. -Perfectly matched to BMW: The electrical properties of the cables have been optimized for the different BMW radios. -The connected device is charged during operation. -The cables are marked with a BMW logo and are therefore recognizable as original parts. -The USB adapters can also be used in vehicles from other manufacturers and also outside the vehicle, e.g. on a PC, laptop or USB socket adapter. Technical data: -All adapter cables for Apple have been specified in accordance with Apple's "Made for iPhone/iPod (MFI)" guidelines and therefore ensure perfect interaction between the connected Apple device and the vehicle. -The electrical properties of the cable have been further improved and the characteristic impedance has been optimized.
