The weatherproof HP instrument cluster combines the typical BMW displays with a wide range of additional racing-relevant functions, making it a real highlight for all racing enthusiasts. The HP instrument cluster is operated via an additional switch with 2 buttons on the left-hand handlebar control panel: for safety reasons, the INFO and SETUP menus can only be called up when the vehicle is stationary. The "MENU" button (2) is used to move the cursor within the menu. The "SET" button (1) is used to operate the line selected by the cursor. Large, clear digital display Waterproof carbon housing, approx. 20 cm wide (bottom), approx. 11 cm high (center) with a total of four display modes: ROAD mode provides all the information required for operation on public roads: Total distance, daily kilometers 1 + 2, remaining range (display only after the reserve quantity has been reached), clock, stopwatch, gear, speed. In RACE mode, the information important for race track operation is displayed: fastest and current lap time ("Lapmonitor"), fastest and slowest speed ("Speedmonitor"), total race time and number of laps completed. In INFO mode, the information stored in RACE mode for each race lap can be called up: highest engine speed, highest, lowest and average speed, number of gear changes, lap time, lap length, average throttle opening, percentage of time with brake applied. The SETUP mode offers the option of adapting the instrument combination to personal preferences: Selection of lap monitor or speed monitor in RACE mode, settings for shift flash, lap time display duration, brightness, time, reset, etc. eight LEDs, can be used as speed display or shift flash: display of maximum speed at cold start ("speed limiter" in the warm-up phase) In ROAD mode, display of the approach to the red speed range In RACE mode, the LED band acts as a shift light. The speed threshold can be set for each LED. This indicates to the pilot when the optimum shift speed has been reached. Data memory: Data from up to 100 race laps can be recorded. The individual laps are recorded either manually by pressing a button or automatically using the lap timer, which is available as an accessory.

The infrared receiver for the Laptimer has a weatherproof plastic housing. This item is for racetrack use only (no road traffic approval)! It is connected to the free plug of the accessory wiring harness. The connection is easily accessible - the infrared receiver can be easily removed at any time to prevent theft.

The infrared transmitter for the Laptimer has a weatherproof plastic housing. The range is up to 20 m. The article does not have road traffic approval and is intended for racetrack use only! -One infrared transmitter can be used by several drivers (each with one infrared receiver). -Without road approval -It is recommended to use only one infrared transmitter at a time on the racetrack, as otherwise incorrect lap times may be recorded. -Note: The power supply for the infrared transmitter is not included in the scope of delivery. There are several options for the power supply: -Connection to a (removed) motorcycle battery: In addition to the motorcycle battery, the charger adapter cable is also required for this (see order information). This can be connected to the battery terminals with its two crocodile clips. -12 V power supply unit from an electronics retailer. Infrared transmitter plug suitable for cigarette lighter (with adapter piece) or suitable for motorcycle socket (without adapter piece). (Adapter piece included in the scope of delivery of the infrared transmitter). -Connection cable for power supply (12 V) with plug for cigarette lighter -Installation instructions and operating instructions on CD and on the RSD Repair & Service Data (CD only available in combination with wiring harness, i.e. cannot be ordered separately for S 1000 RR. For this reason, it is recommended that the installation of the Laptimer on the S 1000 RR is carried out by the dealer).
