Description

The BMW Head-Up Screen (for factory navigation) shows various vehicle and navigation information on a transparent display in the vehicle. The screen is positioned at the height of the steering wheel. All information is therefore in the driver's direct field of vision. The driver no longer has to take their eyes off the road and can read all relevant information at any time. This BMW Head-Up Screen has been specially developed for vehicles with Navigation Business (SA 606) or Navigation Professional (SA 609) in conjunction with instrument cluster with extended features (SA 6WA). In addition to relevant vehicle data, navigation instructions from the factory navigation system can also be displayed on the BMW Head-Up Screen. All settings can be made via the free "Head-Up Screen" app. -The BMW Head-Up Screen offers the driver two core functions: Display of current vehicle information and navigation instructions from the free navigation app. -All information is always in the driver's direct field of vision. -The information is very easy to read, even in direct sunlight. -In the dark, the display automatically reduces the brightness in the same way as the vehicle instruments. The brightness can also be adjusted via the "Head-Up Screen" app. -The elegant black frame of the BMW Head-Up Screen does not reflect sunlight and thus prevents the driver from being dazzled. -A special holder has been developed for various model series (on request), into which the BMW Head-Up Screen is mounted, thus achieving perfect and elegant integration into the vehicle. -With the BMW Head-Up Screen, BMW offers a product in the premium segment which, in addition to innovative OLED technology and high-quality material, is also perfectly matched to the design of the vehicles. -The crash-tested Original BMW accessory is attached with a special adhesive connection. Subsequent installation or later, residue-free removal is possible at any time. -The "Head-Up Screen" app can be used to adjust the settings of the BMW Head-Up Screen, e.g. brightness setting, switching various parameters on and off, power and torque. -The screen automatically connects to the smartphone via WLAN. -The navigation instructions of the separately available BMW Integrated Navigation are displayed on the BMW Head-Up Screen. -Integrated interactivity: The NFC chip (Near Field Communication) in the housing makes it possible: As soon as an NFC-enabled smartphone is in the vicinity of the housing, the app is automatically activated, enabling convenient operation. Vehicle information: -The BMW Head-Up Screen displays various notifications, such as the reserve light when the fuel level is too low or the warning of black ice at low temperatures. -Other functions include the power display, the display for the current torque output and the display of the set speed of the cruise control*, traffic jam warning, as well as the display of speed limits and altitude meters above sea level*. -The contents of the separately available M Performance Drive Analyzer can also be transmitted to the BMW Head-Up Screen via WLAN at the same time. -The vehicle information comes directly from the vehicle in real time via the CAN bus. Navigation information: -The BMW Head-Up Screen receives the navigation instructions from the factory navigation system* via a special interface. -The BMW Head-Up Screen switches off automatically when the display is folded down. Notes: -The BMW Head-Up Screen with connection to the BMW factory navigation system requires the installation of the following optional equipment: SA606 (Navigation Business) or SA609 (Navigation Professional) -In both cases, the SA6WA (instrument cluster with extended features) is also required. -Upgrade option: For customers who already have a BMW Head-Up Screen, there is a special upgrade kit (factory navigation module) that enables the BMW factory navigation to be displayed on the Head-Up Screen.
