ConnectedRide Cradle

Description

The ConnectedRide Cradle serves as a holder for using the smartphone as a navigation device while riding. The navigation map and vehicle data can be called up in the field of vision via the Multi-Controller using the BMW Motorrad Connected app. The holder can accommodate different smartphone sizes and charges the smartphone inductively or by cable. -Practical holder for using the smartphone as a navigation device -map display and display of vehicle data in the BMW Motorrad Connected app -Operation of the BMW Motorrad Connected app via the Multi Controller -Wireless charging according to Qi standard, wired charging via USB-C connection -individually adjustable arms for smartphones of different sizes -Cradle can be locked to the holder of the motorcycle, if this is supported Prerequisite BMW Motorrad Connected App: The BMW Motorrad Connected App version 4.0 or later must be used to make full use of all the functions described. Minimum/maximum size of the smartphone: -Minimum dimensions: 130.1×65.5×6.9 mm -Maximum dimensions: 162.5×78.1×8.8 mm Protection from environmental conditions -The ConnectedRide Cradle is protected according to IP65. -When selecting a smartphone, ensure that it offers adequate weather protection. Most common smartphones already offer sufficient protection against the elements. Smartphone and Bluetooth information -A Bluetooth connection (Bluetooth Low Energy) is required to enable the app to be controlled via the control element of the navigation preparation on the vehicle (MMC). Bluetooth pairing takes place within the BMW Motorrad Connected app and is only required once during initial setup. When recognized after switching on, the devices connect automatically for the next ride. -To securely fix the smartphone in the ConnectedRide Cradle, BMW Motorrad recommends removing the smartphone case if its dimensions prevent the smartphone from sitting optimally in the ConnectedRide Cradle or inductive charging. -Smartphones must have at least Bluetooth Low Energy version 4.2 in order to meet the security requirements (LE Secure Connections) for the connection. Smartphones with older Bluetooth versions are therefore not supported
