One, suitable for all cell phones - that's the idea behind the new Snap-In Adapter Universal. It is suitable for all cell phone models with a micro USB connection. It can always be used if no specifically suitable snap-in adapter is available for the smartphone in question. Get in, insert, get going: With the Snap-In Adapter Universal, the personal communication and entertainment program from the cell phone can be experienced in the vehicle. In addition to fast charging of the cell phone, the Snap-In Adapter Universal ensures safe and stable storage thanks to the retaining bracket. The inductive coupling of the external aerial ensures optimum network reception even in areas with poor network coverage. -One for many: The new Snap-In Adapter Universal is suitable for all cell phones with a micro-USB connection and therefore covers a wide range of models from different manufacturers. Elegant appearance: The mounting bracket is made of chrome and black matt plastic and therefore has a very high-quality appearance. The BMW lettering makes the adapter an eye-catcher. -The rubberized surface of the support also ensures that the cell phone is kept safe and stable in the vehicle. Operation is very simple and intuitive: when setting up for the first time, one of the two enclosed cables is first plugged into the back of the adapter and guided upwards via the cut-out. -The cell phone is now connected to the cable and then pushed under the retaining bracket, which slowly and gently lowers onto the cell phone. The bracket is rubberized on the underside to ensure that the display is not scratched. -The cables included in the scope of delivery have been developed by BMW with regard to their electrical properties. The shielding is of particularly high quality and thus ensures good transmission without interference. -Personal entertainment program on board: A USB interface is integrated in the Snap-In Adapter Universal. The stored music tracks can thus be conveniently operated and played via the music player (depending on the vehicle equipment). Playback takes place via the vehicle loudspeaker system. -The album cover of the currently playing music track can be shown on the vehicle display (depending on vehicle equipment and year of manufacture). This allows songs to be immediately assigned to an album or artist ("cover art"). -The connection to the external aerial reduces radiation in the vehicle interior. -The snap-in adapter offers a particularly fast, optimized charging function. If the cell phone is inserted in the Snap-In Adapter Universal, the cell phone is charged twice as fast compared to the USB socket. -Good connections: The Snap-In Adapter Universal connects the phone to the vehicle's external aerial. This ensures the best possible network reception, especially in areas with poor network coverage. -With the BMW app "BMW Connected" it is possible to call up news, Wiki Local, calendar entries and Facebook. This app is available free of charge in the Google Play Store. The app can only be used from production date 03/2013 with the BMW ConnectedDrive SA 6NR (BMW Apps) equipment. Furthermore, for technical reasons, vehicle compatibility is initially limited to some smartphones. An overview of the approved smartphones can be found in the description in the Google Play Store. -The Snap-In Adapter Universal supports the functions telephony, charging, entertainment and apps. It is required in vehicles with SA 6NS (convenience telephony with extended smartphone connection) that only use a digital audio signal. -Depending on the vehicle model, the space available in the center console varies. Due to the different dimensions of the individual cell phones, it is important to check in advance whether there is sufficient space to use the corresponding device.
