Slip-On Line

An unmistakable sound, coupled with improved power and torque, in one system - Akrapovič Slip-On Line (Titanium). system not only provides the Akrapovič experience, but also complies with ECE type approval. Constructed from lightweight, high-quality titanium alloys and finished with two sets of carbon fiber/titanium tailpipes, the system consists of complex parts manufactured in the in-house titanium foundry. This includes the valve housings, the manifold of the central silencer and the tailpipes. Two valves - one on each side of the silencer - adjust the gas flow to create the unmistakable Akrapovič sound. This is very different to the standard system of the M8. The exhaust note is most noticeable as you shift through the gears and accelerate, and this can be further controlled by the addition of the optional Akrapovič Sound Kit to enhance the listening pleasure. Akrapovič achieved a power increase of 14.3 hp at 5,200 rpm and a torque increase of 19.4 Nm at 5,200 rpm when tested on the Akrapovič dyno against a BMW M8 Competition with a standard M Sport exhaust system for comparison. There is also the possibility for further exhaust tuning with the addition of the optional Evolution Link pipe kit (titanium). This changes the gas flow and delivers the best possible sound from the Slip-On Line (titanium).
