Trailer coupling with detachable ball head. A special feature compared to the competition is the trailer stability control: the vehicle's standard DSC dynamic control system takes into account the special conditions of driving with a trailer and thus increases safety. For this reason, retrofitting is always accompanied by coding of the control electronics by the dealer. It also has the effect of deactivating any electronic parking aid when reverse gear is engaged in trailer mode. The trailer stability control is a system integrated in the DSC and is activated via the socket at the rear. Retrofitting not possible for 5 Series Touring vehicles with: Engine forward control or emergency vehicle open or emergency vehicle camouflaged or Integral Active Steering.
