The compact BMW Wallbox Essential can be flexibly and easily connected to the domestic power grid. Thanks to a powerful charging capacity of up to 22 kW/three-phase, it effectively shortens the charging time. With a cable length of up to 5 m, the wallbox also offers great flexibility when choosing a parking space. The installation, handling and cable management of the wallbox are kept simple. Installation costs are low thanks to the integrated DC fault detection. The ergonomic and high-quality design is characterized by selected, high-quality and environmentally friendly materials. The housing contains recycled material and is made of durable plastic. The high-quality multi-layer coating of the outer parts meets the highest demands. It protects the wallbox permanently and contributes to a harmonious appearance with the vehicle. The wallbox supports the vehicle-specific "time-controlled charging" function. This makes it possible to charge vehicles exclusively at certain times and thus take advantage of particularly favorable electricity rates, for example. It is also possible to pre-condition the vehicle. This means that you will find a charged and pre-heated or pre-cooled vehicle in the morning. The energy required for this is provided via the wallbox when the vehicle is connected and is thus saved during the journey - to maximize the range. The status display of the wallbox is shown by an LED bar on the front of the wallbox. The display on the wallbox allows you to see the current charging status at all times, even from a distance. Installation instructions: -To ensure that the wallbox works safely and reliably in the domestic power circuit, it must be installed and connected by a specialist installer. Depending on the country, country-specific regulations must be observed and complied with when connecting. -The cabling from the domestic installation to the wallbox as well as the fuse protection is specific to each market and connection case and is determined by the specialist installer on site.
