M Performance steering wheel

Description

The M Performance steering wheel is based on the M leather steering wheel of the M6 with a diameter of 373 mm. It is covered with high-quality Alcantara and stitched with a three-tone seam in BMW M colors. The steering wheel cover is finished with painted carbon, on which M Performance lettering in chrome is worked into the paint. A functional display featuring the latest OLED technology and two-color LED indicators to the right and left of the display are integrated into the upper rim of the steering wheel. For operation, two buttons are embedded under the Alcantara in the area of the thumb rests. The EfficientDynamics Mode, Sport Mode and Race Mode can be set at the touch of a button. Sporty: The new M Performance steering wheel conveys a motorsport atmosphere thanks to the high-tech materials from motorsport Alcantara and open-pore carbon. -Better feel and grip: Alcantara is the perfect material for sports steering wheels. It provides optimum grip on the steering wheel in extreme driving situations and offers a consistently pleasant feel in all temperature conditions. The sporty yet elegant design with three-tone stitching in M colors and painted carbon matches the M Performance look perfectly. -Everything at a glance: Thanks to the race display, the driver always has the displays and controls in view or within reach while driving and can easily navigate through the three modes. -The gear change indicator with colored LEDs on the right and left of the display conveys a real motorsport feeling in everyday life. -Easy operation: The icon-based MMI (human-machine interface) shows the individual functions of the modes as icons on the display. -Sporty but efficient. The additional EfficientDynamics features support a consumption-optimized driving style at the touch of a button. -In Sport mode, the stopwatch is displayed in hours, minutes and seconds as well as the G-meter with the current longitudinal and lateral acceleration. -In Race mode, the stopwatch is displayed in minutes, seconds and 1/100th of a second. It is also possible to measure up to 50 lap times with storage of the maximum speeds as well as the maximum lateral and longitudinal accelerations per lap, including storage of top score values. -The optional measurement trigger can be used to automatically record the laps or section times using an infrared light barrier. High quality: The scratch-resistant, high-quality display cover made of specially coated PC cover glass promises a long service life. All M5 vehicles built from 07/2013 and all M6 vehicles Acceptance of all parts possible. M5 vehicles before LCI (year of manufacture up to 07/2013) No takeover parts: Airbag unit, multifunction buttons, shift paddles and steering wheel electronics must be ordered and replaced.
