From the racetrack directly onto the road. The flap exhaust system with Bluetooth 4.0 control offers maximum emotionalization of the driving experience with its two operating modes. Sport mode is approved for unrestricted use on public roads and offers a sporty soundscape suitable for everyday use that has been specially developed for the BMW M2. Track mode is developed for use on the racetrack and offers maximum emotionality, volume and sound to further intensify the driving experience. In addition to the acoustic enhancement of the vehicle, the rear silencer offers a visual upgrade with a high-gloss silencer body with deeply embossed M Performance logo and 80 mm tailpipes including perforated inner pipe. Alternatively, 93 mm carbon tailpipe trims with M logo can also be selected. The enclosed remote control can be used to switch between several modes that influence the performance of the exhaust system: -Sport mode: sporty sound, more emotional than standard but with residual comfort for uncompromising everyday use. No further approval documents are required for this mode. The silencer is approved for use on public roads. -Track mode: Extremely emotional sound, very sporty, very loud. For maximum performance on the racetrack. In this mode, the approval for use on public roads expires in accordance with the German Road Traffic Licensing Regulations (StVZO). The optimized exhaust routing enhances the characterful 6-cylinder sound and underlines the sporty driving feel. The perforated inner pipes show a maximum of high-tech, sportiness and emphasize the individual character traits of the BMW M. This system gives the rear of the vehicle a striking and individual look. The silencer system was developed using the latest CAD and FEM technology. This ensures optimum fitting accuracy and manufacturer quality. The complete silencer system is Made in Germany. The original BMW M Performance exhaust system was developed and tested entirely in-house at BMW in cooperation with the various specialist departments and BMW M-GmbH. The system is approved for vehicles built between 01/2016 and 01/2017.
