Slip-On Line

Description

A distinctive sound, coupled with improved power and torque, in one system - Akrapovič Slip-On Line (Titanium). System not only provides the Akrapovič experience, but also meets ECE type approval. Constructed of lightweight, high-grade titanium alloys and finished with two sets of carbon fiber/titanium tailpipes, the system consists of complex parts manufactured in the company's in-house titanium foundry. Also included are the valve bodies, the header from the central muffler, and the tailpipes. Two valves - one on each side of the muffler - adjust the gas flow to produce the unmistakable Akrapovič sound. This is very different from the stock system on the M8. The exhaust note is most noticeable as you shift through the gears and accelerate, and this can be further controlled by adding the optional Akrapovič Sound Kit to enhance your listening pleasure. Akrapovič has achieved a power increase of 14.3 hp at 5,200 rpm and a torque increase of 19.4 Nm at 5,200 rpm when tested on the Akrapovič dyno against a BMW M8 Competition with a standard M Sport exhaust system for comparison. There is also the option for further exhaust tuning with the addition of the optional Evolution Link pipe set (titanium). This changes the gas flow and delivers the best possible sound from the Slip-On Line (Titanium).
