Stainless steel silencer system with 2 x 74 mm chrome-plated tailpipes and improved exhaust routing. The acoustics have been optimized in terms of sound quality and volume to achieve the typical BMW sporty engine sound. Even after optimization, the long-distance capability is retained. The chrome-plated tailpipe trims create a unique high-tech look. In addition, the silencer system was developed using the latest CAD and FEM technology, ensuring optimum fitting accuracy and, of course, BMW quality.

Thanks to the two 74 mm chrome-plated tailpipes, the stainless steel silencer system has a unique high-tech look and improved exhaust gas routing. The acoustics have been optimized in terms of sound quality and volume to give the BMW diesel engine its own character. At the same time, the long-distance capability is retained. The silencer provides an outstanding sporty sound when accelerating from an engine speed of 2,000 rpm. It was developed using the latest CAD and FEM technology for optimum fitting accuracy and OEM quality. For model E87 before LCI, an additional panel (51127136090) is required for optimum fit. Alternatively, the bumper can be adjusted/cut out manually.
