MINI Sharing is a private car-sharing service that allows you to share a vehicle with up to ten people within your family and circle of friends. The product consists of a hardware module that is integrated into the vehicle, the MINI Sharing app, which can be used to make and track bookings, and the use of the MINI Sharing service. A step-by-step guide in the MINI Sharing app explains simply how owners can connect their vehicle to their user account in the app. Owners can assign a VIP status to favorite drivers so that they can reserve directly without waiting for a booking confirmation. Other drivers send a booking request to the owner and require active approval. However, each booking can be overwritten or canceled by the owner at any time. This ensures that the MINI owner has full control over their shared vehicle at all times. With just one click in the MINI Sharing App, the owner can access the vehicle at any time. The "digital key" navigates them to the vehicle, opens it and starts the engine. With the help of the MINI Sharing Module, the smartphone is connected to the vehicle via the MINI Sharing App. The MINI Sharing App works with almost all smartphones and can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play Store. Drivers can make a booking with just a few clicks in the MINI Sharing App. After the owner has approved a booking request and starts the driver's booking, the driver is shown the exact location of the vehicle and is navigated to it. During an active booking, only the driver of this booking can see the exact location of the vehicle. The calendar integrated into the MINI Sharing app makes it easy to manage bookings in real time. Every user has full transparency of all requested, accepted and completed bookings. A booking usually ends in the home area defined by the owner.
